Dogs are the best, there’s no doubt about that. In fact, my partner and I have two of our own, an all-white 3-year-old mix with the most expressive ears and best smile you’ve ever seen, and a senior Great Pyrenees that we rescued via Big Dogs Huge Paws. Fluffy, cute, and photogenic when they WANT to be. I just love dogs, which I why I soak up all the puppy love whenever my clients bring their dog to their sessions.
I love doing photo sessions with your fur babies!
To help us ensure you get the best photographic outcome from our shoot, let’s look at a list of things to bring. We will be turning your doggy into the perfect model in no time!
What to Bring:
Leash, Collar/Harness, and ID Tags: We want your photos to look beautiful and natural, but we need to make sure we keep our furry friends safe on location for a shoot!
Accessories: If you want to have the matching outfit photos with your pup of your Instagram dreams, don’t forget to bring what you want them to be wearing! Accessories can be bandanas, jackets, hats, whatever your heart desires.
High Reward Treats: Posing for the camera can be a challenge for our furry friends. If your dog is treat-motivated, bring some extra special treats that you know they will do anything for.
Lint Roller: This is a MUST. We don’t want your photos to be ruined by the distraction of animal hair on your clothes.
Water: Being a model is hard work, we must keep our subject hydrated during the shoot.
Keep in Mind:
Commands and Noises: If you have commands and noises you use to communicate with your dog, be sure to let me know them so I can communicate with your little model in the best way possible.
Lastly, patience is key! Your dog might not always have the same agenda as we do for the day and that is totally okay!
We want you and your lovely little model to leave the shoot feeling confident and energized!
Save this list so you can use it to prep for your next session
